The SPCO Contract Year ends March 31 and begins on April 1, 2022.

Members Responsibility for April 1, 2021 -March 31, 2022 is as follows:

Section 32.3 of Master Agreement  

To satisfy all training requirements and obtain wage increases as a journey level painter, all journey level painters must be scheduled for, (or) in the process of completing, or have already completed yearly training through the training center.

  1. (2) Year 2: Thirty-two (32) hours (continues safety, journey level, lead, or foreman classes)

Section 32.6

            Abuse of the Continuing Education Program will be defined as an employer refusing to allow an employee to attend a training class, an employer refusing to allow an employee to reschedule a training class when they are unable to attend due to conditions out of their control, or an employer refusing to pay a wage increase when an employee has fulfilled their training requirements. All abuses shall be reported to the Training Coordinator, JATC or PUMP. JATC or PUMP may elect to challenge an employer’s state-registered training agent status for repeated abuse.

  1. (2) Año 2: Treinta y dos (32) horas (continua las clases de seguridad, nivel de journey, o clases de foreman)

Seccion 32.6

            El abuso del Programa de Educación Continua se definirá como un empleador que se niega a permitir que un empleado asista a una clase de entrenamiento, un empleador que se niega a permitir que un empleado reprograme una clase de entrenamiento cuando no puede asistir debido a condiciones fuera de su control, o un empleador que se niega a pagar un aumento de salario cuando un empleado ha cumplido con sus requisitos de entrenamiento. Todos los abusos deberán ser informados al Coordinador de Entrenamiento, JATC o PUMP. JATC o PUMP pueden optar disputar el estado de agente de entrenamiento registrado por el estado de un empleador por abuso repetido.
